CZV vs Victoria Hamburg
Good afternoon,
It's a good start to the weekend; the weather was terrible, but I'm pleased we took many positives from the chaos.
The 4th quarter was excellent, demonstrating growth, and we are beginning to settle. We started slowly, with numerous technical errors that set us back and caused some fear. Due to the rain, the stick also didn't help your technique, but by the fourth quarter, you adapted and dominated the final 15 minutes. We missed a few open goals, there was no connection in the circle, and our striker positioning was sometimes poor.
Hanne and Helena did a great job in midfield, and I hope they will learn their roles there.
The highlight was our PCA counterattack, while the lowest point was the substitutions during this phase. Please stay alert and stay involved if someone calls you for a substitution at the wrong time, so you don't have to sub out when involved in a play.
Our pressure was moderate, but we need to improve our coverage, positioning, and spacing. Sometimes we overcover, opening gaps for opponents to exploit, while at other times, we are too far apart, creating large gaps that allow them to receive without pressure, enabling them to connect further.
We have a decent attacking circle and effective 25-metre entries, and we created some smart PCA plays.
We defended bravely in the 4th quarter đđœ.
Helena's goal is to prove that we are a counter-attacking side, we just need to refine our techniques and awareness
Our press could be improved, but some of the newer players struggled, and we also had difficulty maintaining shape and spacing, which is normal when playing with a mixed team. A few players had never done this press-and-outlet before.
Welcome, Clara. Sorry, I placed you in midfield; it was lovely to see your game intelligence and your use of safe options.
Very impressed with Ida Holland â she is the player of the match. Excellent positioning and defensive awareness.
Well done, Nele. It was a great start, and we look forward to seeing more of your vocal confidence.
Thanks to Alexia and Merit for their help, and also to Yasmina for her assistance, especially for umpiring the third quarter.
Thanks, Kim, for your help and support đđœ
We need more games, and we are trying to organise a few games before 19th April.
This week, our focus is on improving technical skills, especially first touch and creating space for receiving passes.
We have six training sessions remaining, and there is much to cover before 19th April. I think you need to do some extra technical sessions.
Thanks
Looking forward to tomorrowâs training sessions.
Regards
Adnan
