Join the beach volleyball tournament to support sport and humanitarian activities in Gaza

Together, we make the difference - register to play, come along as a spectator, donate or contribute to the buffet.

On 15, 16 and 17 September, an ECB volleyball tournament in collaboration with Eurhope will take place at the beach volleyball court of the ECB Main Building. The event will close the summer season and help raise support for two humanitarian organisations working on the ground in Gaza. Find out more in our Info paper

How you can take part

You can join the event as player, a volunteer or a spectator. The event is open to all ECB staff and their private visitors.

• To play: If you would like to play, please email: gaza-humanitarian-help@ecb.europa.eu by close of business on 8 September. You can register as a team or as an individual. Please read the rules and registration details below before signing up.

• To help: you can bring food and contribute to the donation-based buffet next to the pitch. Express your interest in the buffet organisation by emailing: gaza-humanitarian-help@ecb.europa.eu.

• To donate: whether or not you join the tournament, you can make a donation to support the two humanitarian organisations. You can donate:
  • By bank transfer Eurhope Wohlfahrtsinitiative e.V. IBAN: DE54 5005 0201 0200 3836 12
  • By PayPal: eurhope@ecb.europa.eu Make sure that you specify “Gaza” or "Beach Volleyball" in your bank transfer or instant payment. When using PayPal, select the option “Friends & Family” to avoid that PayPal deducts a fee from your donation.
  • In cash at the event.

• Come say hi: simply come enjoy the donation-based buffet and a moment of community with colleagues after work 😊.

Rules and Registration for players

Players of all skill levels are welcome. A basic understanding of standard volleyball rules is recommended so that games can run smoothly. You can register as individual or as a team.

Individual players: you can sign up as an individual player, and we will assign you to a team.

Teams:

• To register a team, please email us:
  • the captain’s name;
  • the names of the other players.
• Each team must have four players or four players and one reserve.

Once registration are closed (8 September, cob) you’ll receive the tournament schedule.

Registration fee for players

• A symbolic registration fee of €5 per player is required and will be donated (to the supported organisations).
• Please attach proof of payment to your registration email, for example a receipt or screenshot.
